5th to 1st’s Players Unsure if Loss Was Good Actually, Based On Team Name
Discombobulation mounts in 5th to 1st’s locker room as some players aren’t sure if they should try to win games or not. The root of the issue is a Crystal Pepsi level of branding malfeasance shown by team officials in regards to their own name!
“Are we supposed to get to 5th then jump directly to 1st?” inquired one player. Unfortunately, this mystery is not perplexing to just one player. In this Queens’ Gossip EXCLUSIVE we can confirm that three separate players have intentionally thrown games in an effort to get to 5th place in the standings.
The team’s full name, 5th to 1st a new new chapter, has remained their moniker for the last two years despite finishing in 8th place both of those seasons. They have not finished in 5th place since 2023. To whom should we credit this multi-year blunder?
This type of neglect is reminiscent of the PR nightmare headed by disgraced NFL owner Dan Snyder. After finally bending to pressure and changing their name from the REDACTED to the “Washington Football Team,” Snyder assumed that his job was done. His hubris lay bare, the players revolted at the fact that the team name gave no indication of how they should play.
“Detroit plays like Lions, Green Bay like Packers, what are we supposed to play like? What even is a Washington Football Team?” Jonathan Allen wondered in a season where they went 7-9.
Washington has struggled under their new name the “Commanders” and plan on another desperate name change in 2027 to a much more powerful one, The Washington Lobbyists.
DK Metcalf and Jameson Williams both admitted that their early season “struggles” with catching the ball are actually a brilliant strategic plot to maneuver into 5th place. Jameson said, “It’s in the name, we gotta get there before we can win it all. I think.” Metcalf proceeded to flex so hard that his shirt ripped off which I’m pretty sure means that he agrees with Williams’ hypothesis.
As for the loudest bewildered player, that would be Puka Nacua. “I didn’t go to college to learn school. I went there to major in football, and now they’ve got us doing math? 5th, 1st, what am I supposed to do with that? Is that like algebra or something?”
So perplexed was Nacua that he sat out of a game with a “groin” injury. “I figure the best way to handle this is just not to play. We’re still in third place which is…. (Nacua takes his time counting on his hand) this many too high,” His hand holds up two erect fingers. Nacua said he was enjoying his time off and was staying busy by scheduling 23 appearances on various podcasts where he would openly complain about the REDACTED.
This strategy has caused a huge rift in the locker room. Davante Adams, Derrick Henry, and breakout Dalton Kincaid have been giving it their all to get wins. “That’s the stupidest shit that I have ever heard, and I have a Taco Bell in my house,” scolded Adams.
Is leadership asleep at the wheel? Team General Manager Brian seems unaware of the conflicting strategies within his own building. “week two isnt (sic) looking great for me. it feels like all my players had some play where they ended up on the 1 yard line - breaks the heart.” What he embarrassingly did not know was that some of those players fell down at the one yard line on purpose.
One high ranking team official speaking under anonymity told me that, “We’re trying to keep it a hush but we’re changing our name soon. We’re trying to find a local Native American tribe to bless the name, but we’ve been rejected.” As for absentee owner Andrew, he left me on read and that makes me very sad!
As we remember with Dan Snyder, he was eventually forced to sell his team (only because of the weak name, no other reasons at all, nope!) and this reporter wonders if time is similarly running out on the “Braintrust” piloting 5th to 1st.

*Explosive Update! Team owner Andrew did get back to me with this breathtaking information: he sold majority ownership of the team to a Private Equity group from the Bay Area, CA (now owned by a Saudi Arabian Oil Conglomerate). Of that group he said, “They don’t care about the fans or winning and losing, they’re just in it for the rising valuation. And they’ve let the team slide into obscurity.”
He probably should have told me that off the record. My advice for Andrew would be that if he's invited to go to Saudi Arabia, don’t go.
RumorCauldron: Nightmare on Dirty Dong Street
Another ‘Bunch of Stupid Moves’ For the Team Formerly Known as Smegma Farmers
In what could most generously be described as another franchise faceplant, Mirekel on Dirty Dong Street earned a resounding F for their work in acquiring their draft “haul”.
From Yahoo!’s faultless AI, to your fair weather fan in Kazakhstan, critics worldwide are lambasting the front office’s handling of this year’s draft and ‘damn near every situation’in the franchise’s history. Fans in Gotham seem especially pissed, and when asked for comment, the kindest thing anyone said was that the owner was ‘fucking clueless’ and ‘idiotically negligent on his best day’.
Some notable pickups in the draft (if you want to call them that) are Ramondre Stevenson in the fourth round(!), Aaron Rodgers in the 13th, and seemingly a million other mediocre RBs for reasons beyond logic.
So this season, the question remains: how long until this admittedly microscopic, but fervently passionate fanbase calls for the owner’s head?
Ancient QB's tenure with ‘Mirekel’ may be over before it really begins
Sources close to Aaron Rodgers are telling us that immediately upon learning he landed with Mirek’s team in the Draft, the QB “Was totally cool with it and definitely didn’t throw a tantrum like a five year old.”
They go on to say that the highly controversial QB is “deeply concerned” with the future of the Franchise, (and its past, and its present), and has formally requested a trade. His list of preferred teams consists of the Testy Gulls, Shake it Goff and last year’s champion, Sofa Kings. And of course Grumble of Pugs, and Whatever Stephen’s team’s name is. Oh, yeah, and 5th to 1st, Dante’s Paterno, Keep on Keepin On, along with multiple Toilet Bowl title winner Shame Shame Shame.
Although unavailable for the media, Rodgers took to twitter, “Just because I was willing to play for the Jets, people think I have no standards. But you have to draw a line somewhere.”
UPDATE: Rodgers has requested a meeting between Mirekel’s Front Office and his personal shaman. Sources say he’s willing to talk, possibly drop all standards.
Mirek apparently unaware Rodgers has requested trade
As speculation continues to swirl around Aaron Rodgers' future with Mirekel on Dirty Dong Street, there appears to be at least one person who hasn't heard about his reported trade request:
The man who owns the team.
“I was unaware of any request,” owner Mirek Martincik told The Queen’s Gossip in an exclusive interview with senior fantasy correspondent Buster McNutt.
Martincik appeared similarly surprised when informed that Rodgers reportedly wants representatives from the organization to meet with his personal shaman before negotiations can proceed.
“Can't speak to Rodgers' shaman,” Martincik said, “this is news to me.”
Sources close to Rodgers have also indicated that the quarterback could reconsider his trade request if offered a significant position within the team’s hierarchy, possibly as CEO of Fantasy Operations..
That, too, was apparently news to Martincik.
“I was unaware of any such demand, and am a little disappointed this leaked without me knowing about it,” Martincik said.
However, after learning of the proposal from McNutt, the owner appeared surprisingly receptive.
“We could use a mind of his stature,” blah blah blah, yada yada yada, followed by several minutes of what could best be described as wishy-washy limp-dicked technobabble, until finally he said, “I’m open to the prospect,” all in an obviously pathetic appeal to Rodger’s paper-thin ego.
Martincik's willingness to hand significant control of the franchise to a player whose trade request he learned about moments earlier may reflect the organization's increasingly urgent desire to end what has become one of the longest rebuilding efforts in league history.
Asked when he believes the rebuild began, Martincik replied: “Since about the time Roethlisberger retired.” Ben Roethlisberger’s bitch ass retired in January 2022.
The interview ended abruptly when Martincik became increasingly frustrated with McNutt's questioning as to when the rebuild might end.
“What kind of reporter are you?” Martincik bristled. "You're definitely not professional.”
The Queen’s Gossip stands unequivocally behind the journalistic integrity of Buster McNutt.
Sherlock Mahomes Removed from Swift-Kelce Wedding For Calling it Kelce-Swift Wedding
Sherlock Mahomes was removed from the wedding of the century after some Bad Blood with the bride! This happened at the end of a Cruel Summer for the long-time Gypsy Queen team owner as speculation grew over his relationship with the team’s namesake.
The 1st round keeper cost of Patrick “Ketchup” Mahomes had many believing that there would be a Blank Space in the franchise’s QB spot. Wedding guests knew All Too Well the brewing drama, and Sherlock did not disappoint!
According to guests, Sherlock showed up at the beautiful Madison Square Garden reception drunk and Red faced. He immediately complained about his table seating. “Who the hell is Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and why am I sitting with him!?” recounted one guest, “He even pronounced his last name as Hell-Air. I don’t think he realised that Clyde played on the same team as Patrick.”
The true Peace breaking moment was after the Pleb Cutting Ceremony (it’s a billionaire thing you wouldn’t get it) when Sherlock finally noticed the "Swift-Kelce Wedding" message on the giant Jumbotron.
“He totally lost it,” another guest explained. “Why the hell is the woman's name first?” he slurred, and began ranting about traditional gender roles and the “Betafication” of American men.
“Patrick was so embarrassed. We all kept asking each other Is it Over Now?, but he kept going.”
“Toxicity is something Tswift can deal with, I mean, look at her friends and husband, she can Shake it Off, but then the ranting guy crossed a line”. What was so heinous that America’s Princess had the old man removed? “He started calling it the Kelce-Swift wedding.”
"Who the hell even is Taylor, huh? Kelce is an NFL player and he catch ball good!” “He was totally clueless,” explained one of the bridesmaids. “He legit didn’t even know who Tay Tay was. She’s such a sweet, generous soul, but her number one rule is Taylor comes first, and he violated that."
Sherlock Mahomes was then forcefully removed from the arena. Through his screams Taylor was heard to have said, “Look What You Made Me Do.”
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together?
After the wedding, all hell broke loose. Insiders tell us that Taylor mobilized her paramilitary group the Swift Justice to deal with Sherlock. Their official statement on the matter was delivered via grainy VHS video, recorded from their cave network in Afghanistan. “Mr. Sherlock Mahomes, may you burn in hell for your crimes against Allah. We place a Jihad on you. You will never be safe, your family will never be safe, your team will never be safe. Alhamdulillah.”
Sherlock went into hiding, wondering if he would ever be Safe & Sound again.
The answer came on draft day. Nearly cancelled due to terrorist threats, the Gypsy Queen league held their yearly draft on August 23rd, and Sherlock Mahomes attended. Taylor Swift had called off the Jihad.
Despite not keeping Patrick Mahomes, Swift and Sherlock were able to Begin Again, as in the 13th round, he selected Travis Kelce’s washed up ass, and changed his name to Shake It Goff. These concessions seem to have appeased the God-Queen, and as we head into September, all seems well.
